A small but supportive session. No attendees had experience of running a venue (in terms of setting and managing the global budget) so we had a limited frame for this question. BUT we talked about venues we thought would be open to sharing their models and their thinking about next five years or so transparently. We talked about potential knock on conversations that might happen with our own funders about shifting the way we work in response. We discussed what we did know about building financial models from the experiences we did have and issues we knew buildings were facing from our various collaborations and conversations.

I would like to continue growing my knowledge of this so if any Exec Directors/ADs/Trustees see this and would be up for privately and transparently chatting to me about your business models/budgets in a theatre building, I would love that.
