While we are waiting for funding - Let's do something!

This was a brief but interesting debate.
'Creativity was nothing'
'Wouldn't it be great to have a ‘creative co-operative’.

We discussed the perceived demands on our time: can a performer commit to a project knowing that a paid project might come along (hence the idea of a creative co-operative: allowing others to step in when someone has to leave) ?

What is the difference between a group of professional artists getting together to create something unpaid and a local amateur company?

Must we always do something for something (money?) ?
Making a living is crucial but must it necessarily be a barrier to creativity? Is money the boss?
