‘Strangers and Silence…a session in suspense…’

  • What happens when D&D participants gather round a question not asked?
  • Who speaks first – if anyone and what happens next…?

Convener: Lucy Ellinson

Participants: Lucy Ellinson, Peta Lily, Kath Burlinson, Jen

Summary of discussion, conclusions and/or recommendations:

We spent some time in silence, and then began a collaborative drawing process, making marks, passing them on, adding to them and so on – until they became whole pieces – and felt complete.

We then shared our responses, creative writing and personal reactions, which then led to new ideas.

‘It’s not too late’ was one such idea, or message? This led to more drawings and sharing.

One extract from a piece of writing: “ This is our job, this is what we do: to catch the elements of the fractured world and pour them in new directions. To radiate.”

Another: “stay alert, do not take for granted, do not sit in complacency, and keep connecting to the knowing, opt for the feeling body, the impulse that comes from the centre.”

It was a session that was spontaneous and responsive.  It re-energised, gave insight and unblocked some concerns.

There wasn’t *much* silence, but words well meant – THANK YOU x

We’d like to share the drawings with you ….
