Is community ownership part of the answer (venues)? We believe there must be some potential benefactors around Oxford(shire) who would be willing to donate/invest.It would require communal/co-operative governance and therefore a willingness to work together.A community-owned space could be multi-use.Discussed potential 'membership' options, and other successful spaces such as UPP in Oxford and venues in London/Liverpool.The challenge is how to act quickly enough when disused spaces become available - potentially requires raising the money first without a specific space identified so that we are ready to pounce when it turns up? Could this be run through an umbrella campaign such as Paul's "Oxford Music Guardians"?Actions:- meet with Co-op Futures to find out more- research what venue plans are already in the works- find out who knows about the empty spaces in the city
