How can theatre in Exeter Capitalise on Capitalism?

Jack Dean, 1 September 2012

A better question:

How can we utilise, exploit and tap into business and consumers?

Some bullet points:

* Massive growth planned for Exeter in the next three years, how can we get some?

* We need to lobby: Business Leaders, Press editors, local council.

* increased public knowledge of events would help - can business help fund this? I.e. Princesshay Arts Magazine?

* Think about resources instead of money - spare capacity, merchandise, space, print.

WHY WOULD THEY HELP US?
* Cultural output = Economic output... eventually
* Employee retention
* Corporate Social Responsibility - where do the arts fit into the charitable and community sector?

WHO DO WE CONTACT? WHO DOES THE CONTACTING?

* Exeter Cultural Partnership - will they? should they? who are they?

EXETER CULTURAL STRATEGY -
* Who is writing this?
* We need to be part of it because we have some good ideas...
* We need to link with other strategies - transport, tourism, education, planning * WHAT WILL IT DO? WHAT WILL IT LOOK LIKE?
* HOW WILL IT BE FUNDED?

!!! CAPITALISE ON CAPITALISM !!! WHO DO WE CONTACT
