Salary: £18,000/year for three days/week (equivalent to £30,000 full-time). The role is offered on an employed basis for 12 months, beginning in/around December 2020. It is our intention to extend the contract subject to continued funding.

Hours: This is a part-time post, 24 hours/week. We anticipate that these hours will be worked over three full days, but are open to other set-ups. This role will require working evenings and weekends at Open Space events, for which Improbable operates a Time Off in Lieu system.

Place of work: Improbable is currently working remotely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic. It is our intention to move back to an office-based set-up in London when it is possible and safe to do so. In the meantime, the Open Space Producer will be required to work remotely. This doesn’t mean you have to have your own computer or office set-up – we can provide things like a laptop or Microsoft Office if you need them.

We actively encourage people from a variety of backgrounds and with different skills, experiences and stories to join us.

Any candidate who identifies as D/deaf, disabled or neurodivergent, as a person of colour, and/or as genderqueer, and who meets the person specification, is guaranteed an interview, as these individuals are under-represented in our current workforce. This can be in whatever format you like – for example a letter (we’d suggest no more than two sides of A4) or a video (no more than 10 mins). Please make sure that your application is high enough resolution for us to listen to / see.
  2. Your CV, which should include details of relevant producing experience and of your most recent job.
  3. A completed, anonymous copy of the Equal Opportunities monitoring form. This can be downloaded from our website should be sent separately to your application.

We will not accept applications made via agencies.

First round interviews will be held in the week beginning 30th November, and will be online on Zoom. We would like the Open Space Producer to begin in post as soon as possible; however, we have some flexibility for the right person.

Improbable will make reasonable adjustments to the process if you have a disability or long-term health condition, or if you need something different or additional for an interview. Please get in touch with us for a conversation about this.
